I’ve had a number of titles in my life - Counsellor, Designer, Director, Vice President. I’ve helped both long-standing, well established businesses and those just starting out to bring their people together around mission, vision, and organizational values. My experience spans private companies and non-profits building teams and consensus around ideas that change the trajectory of their businesses.

 

Now, I am the Founder and Chief Initiative Leader at The Team Initiative. Here we inspire initiative by activating individuals to reach their goals. We help individuals  internalize their strengths, find their purpose, and connect with their team to generate the confidence it takes to get started!

 

In 25 years of experience, I have found that there is no singular formula to building an innovative team. Brains work similarly, but people are different. You have to meet everyone where they are. Understand each motivation and know your strengths. Finding purpose in the work brings joy to the individual and is the key to making teams more productive all around.  Coupled with effective communication, teams build the trust needed to chart a course, create accountability, and reach for success together as a team.

I have developed strategies for all types of people and teams, with methods that bridge a variety of coaching models. My strength lies in my ability to simplify complex ideas and make the work engaging and fun no matter what interests you!

TALENT IS NOT ENOUGH. You need Initiative. Only teams made up of inspired, highly engaged people achieve the type of goals you have in mind. When individuals see how their personal goals tie to a collective it has a transformative effect on their energy and your outcomes. When business leaders understand the priorities of their people, they can give better direction to build on specific strengths. Everyone supports each other to find joy in the work and make the whole greater than just the sum of its parts.
